Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism (USA PATRIOT) Act of 2001
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NEW INVESTORS OR INVESTORS PURCHASING A NEW SECURITY
The U.S. Patriot Act took effect October 1, 2003. As a result, U.S. Federal law requires us to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person or entity that purchases a new Security. What this means for you is that when you purchase a Senior Demand Note, Variable Rate Subordinated Debenture, or Commercial Paper, we will ask for your name, street address, date of birth, and an identification number such as a Social Security number or other identification number, that Federal law requires us to obtain. We will also ask to see a driver’s license, corporate information document (for corporate entities), or other identifying documents that will allow us to identify you or the corporate entity seeking to open the account.
Since you are purchasing a new Security with 1st Franklin, we are requesting that you provide a copy of the driver’s license or other current form or government-issued identification for each Investor listed on your Security. If this Security is purchased for a minor who does not have a driver’s license, you may send a copy of the minor’s Social Security card and birth certificate.
Thank you for working with us to comply with these identification requirements. Please call the Investment Center at 706-866-7571 or 800-282-0709, if you have any questions.
